Brian Kamerzel
Director / Editor
Brian Kamerzel is from Connecticut. He entered The School of Visual Arts in New York City with a background in illustration and painting, and graduated earning a B.F.A for Film and Video in 2000.
After completing a number of short student films, Kamerzel wrote and directed the documentary, "The Art of Leaving". This intimate portrait on the life and art of a Romanian painter immigrating to America went on to play in film festivals through out the U.S. and Canada, as well as being chosen to participate in New York's IFP Market in 2004.
Since then he has been working as a freelance editor and assistant on documentaries ranging from short and feature length independents to many that have appeared for broadcast on HBO, ABC, Sundance Channel, History Channel, and PBS' Frontline. He has been an editing consultant and prodcution assistant on many FilmGym productions.
